USBC announces changes to Women’s Championships for 2010

USBC to debut 3 average-based competitions for 2010 Women’s Championships in El Paso

I like the new format…it gives the lower-average women bowlers a chance to compete against others with similar ability while keeping the scratch competition available. I think the USBC is wagering on this move bolstering participation in the Women’s Championships, and my philosophy on women’s bowling is that anything that’s good for women’s bowling is good for the game in general.
