This Canadian newspaper article on Calgary Flames defenseman Rhett Warrener mentions the Warrener and Friend Celebrity Bowl, held every January for a local children’s charity in Calgary. Warrener said he got the idea for the event when he was introduced to bowling by NHL great Doug Gilmour while Warrener and Gilmour were with the Buffalo Sabres.
