BowlingBoards.com and “Let’s Go Bowling!” added to sidebar

Two new (to me) sites have gone up in the sidebar under the “Bowling Sites” category:

BowlingBoards.com is another bowling forum site brought to my attention by a commenter to last night’s league post. While my reply to the comment made it clear that I intend to continue to call BowlingCommunity.com my bowling forum “home,” I did find the site active and polished enough to give it a sidebar link, and I may even pop in there from time to time in the future.

While scouting out the above site, I found the homepage of “Let’s Go Bowling!”, a radio talk show airing primarily on 1340 AM WTAN in Tampa, FL. Past shows have featured some big-name guests, including Jeff Bojé, president of the USBC, top coach Ron Clifton, and bowling legends Walter Ray Williams, Jr., Norm Duke, and Liz Johnson. You can listen to archived shows on the site.

  1. Hello to “The Tenth Board” Admins, Subscribers, and Friends,

My name is Christoper and I am the owner of BowlingBoards.com I wanted to say thank you for adding us to your site list and I would love to return the favor.

I understand that BowlingBoards.com is a new comer as we approach our 1 year anniversary, and we have much to prove.

Many people have a favorite bowling site to call “Home” and we are honored with the bowlers who call BowlingBoards.com home. I have a different view on this topic. I do not compete with any other site. So may wonder why, but its simple. I have made a platform to help educate, others have done the same, so why compete?

Many forum communities have their own brand and following. I built BowlingBoards.com with Ethics, Values, and Morals in mind. I want the name to bring pride when spoken and dignity when commented on.

Some people build bowling sites to make money, others to give information. Their are areas of grey and then sites like mine.

BowlingBoards.com is a Family Friendly bowling site. We have youth bowlers up to seniors. We have Grandparents, school kids, mechanics, teachers, nurses, and other real bowlers who love bowling.

There is no adult material or language allowed. Some may wonder why? This is a main reason we step outside of the bowling forum box. Years ago when I was looking for bowling help, I found many sites that had members who would hide behind usernames and curse, make fun of, and just basically abuse other members.

We are different. We have many USBC coaches who state who they are. We have many, many users who go by real first names. So it does not matter if the same question was asked 100 times before it, you do not get flamed, put down, harassed or anything else.

    But what do we do?

I as the owner care about bowlers. I have setup many things like a Bowling Score Tracking and Analysis program for bowlers to track all of their leagues and analyze their progress, Bowling Gear Reviews, Classifieds, Forums, Videos, Photos, a search program to find centers near a user with direction maps, and more to come like bowling chat rooms.

We have prize giveaways to reward our members and we treat every member like the first and the last all at the same time.

So really, even though we are new, we want to say Hello and thank you for adding us again.

If you need anything, please do let me know.

    Christopher – BowlingBoards.com
