The People’s Tournament reported that Dave Sargent (Brunswick Lowell Lanes, 196 avg.) was the winner of the event held on Feb. 19 and 20 at Town Line Lanes. Sargent defeated Mark Juliano (AMF Silver Lanes, 177 avg.) by a score of 244-220 (with handicaps) in the championship match. The highest Westgate Lanes finishers were Eric Lam (181 avg.), Brian Alleyne (175 avg.), and Linwood Cowen, Jr. (190 avg.), all of whom were in the top 16. The Brockton association was represented additionally in the final 8 by David Sloane (North Bowl, 164 avg.)
