The People’s Tournament reported Edward Hoefler (AMF Taunton Lanes, 170 avg.) as the winner of the event held on Jan. 19 and 20 at Westgate Lanes. Hoefler defeated Hakim Emmanuel (Westgate Lanes, 191 avg.) by a score of 244-234 (with handicaps) in the title match. For the other Westgate Lanes bowlers, Jim Ferguson (204 avg.) was also in the semifinals, and Sam Kamel (190 avg.) was also in the top 8.
