2012-13 season recap

With the Coke league season, lengthened on the calendar by the holidays and Hurricane Sandy, now completed, I can put up my usual post acknowledging the top performers in Westgate Lanes leagues during the season. Of course, the following rules are used:

  • Average is based on a minimum of 72 games in the league.
  • Youth bowlers are included with the adults of their gender where appropriate.
  • I tried to consider the first three games of a series in the leagues that bowl four games in a series (Tue. Scratch Sportsmen and BBIS).

Men

Average: 236.79; Jason Sherwood (Thursday Night Patriots)
Series: 816; Sean Richard (Westgate Mixed)
Game: 300; Alex Major, Tim Riordan (Coke Classic), Henry Webber (His & Hers; as pacer), Harry Thibeault, Mike Johnson, Roland Sandefur, Ed Alfieri, Steve Healy (Westgate Mixed), Dana Gomes (Brunswick Mixed), Jeff Carter (Thursday Handicap Doubles), Dan Esdale (2), Sean Richard (2), Chuck Gerlach, Roy Ellis, Carl Hanson, John Benenato, Mike Trent, Jason Sherwood (Thursday Night Patriots), Kevin Thibeault, Nick Sauve (Saturday Seniors {youth})

Women

Average: 208.75; Sandi Litchfield (Westgate Mixed)
Series: 749; Sandi Litchfield (Westgate Mixed)
Game: 300; Melissa Peterson (Westgate Mixed)

Readers interested in a particular league should find the league in the index on Bowler Express (except for Tuesday Scratch Sportsmen, which only posts on LeagueSecretary.com).

Note: As mentioned previously, Jason Sherwood’s average is the new Westgate Lanes house record.
