The USBC reported that Ed Roberts won four gold medals and a silver medal in his final tune-up for the inaugural WTBA World Senior Championships, the Lee Evans Tournament of the Americas at Strikers Lanes in Sunrise, FL. Roberts only failed to win gold in super senior men’s singles, which was won by Mario Boneta of Mexico. He was paired with Dave Hurtt in men’s doubles and Dana Miller-Mackie in mixed doubles, and the other member of the team, which also won gold, was Jacqueline Smith. The other gold medal was in men’s all-events.
