As for my real league, I’m returning to the Brunswick Mixed league with the same team. We might be getting the same team number we’ve had (8), so I’ve proposed the “Crazy Eights” name this year. We’ll see if it’s the name we go with next week. Berta, Brian, and I bowled the no-tap, and I had a 647, which might be good for something with my handicap.
My virtual league team has returning teammates “Charlie98” and “jbungard”, with “BOSStull” and “Domokun” (the latter who is also a friend on Facebook) as first-time teammates of mine. Hoping to buck my summer league trend, the team went with “X-Factors” as our name. With eight five-man teams and a 16 week season, my real and virtual leagues will start in lockstep.
The Tenth Board 
I should note that the Brunswick Mixed league’s handicap was changed to 90% of 1,125 (figured off of 225/bowler), so my team will receive more handicap. The change, however, was more to prevent the “loaded” teams from having an advantage of having bowlers averaging better than the scratch score (the old figure was based on 200/bowler).
