Jim Lovewell throws Mass. state record 888 series in Gardner

Got word of this on Facebook from Jason Sherwood: Tonight, at Gardner Ten Pin, Jim Lovewell threw games of 300, 300, and 288 for an 888 series, which, if approved by USBC headquarters, will be a new Massachusetts state record. Mike Fabian, with an 883 series on April 16, 2003 at North Bowl, had been holding the state record.

  1. In the third game, Lovewell left a 10 pin, made the spare, ran the next ten strikes, then ended the night by leaving a 4-6 on the fill.
