First, a brief note about the first squad of the Tri-City mixed doubles tournament today: A couple of the scores that stood out was a 681 set from Chris Major (who was bowling with Sean Richard) and a 288 game by Eric Derochers (though I don’t remember who his partner was, offhand). A quick aside for tomorrow is that the squad will have a delayed start due to the weather, with a 1:30 PM squad time and 12:45 PM check-in.
Now, the results of today’s King of the Hill tournament:
Match 1: Rich Fulton def. Danny Khuu 226-209
Semifinal: Sean Richard def. Fulton 210-180
Final: Richard def. Brian Egan 180-143
King: Tom Hedding def. Richard 289-259
Note: All of the above bowlers were bowling scratch.
There were 12 entries (probably down due to the weather), with the cut to the stepladder at 460. It should be also noted that the “King” match between TomTom and “Seany Kash” was one of the most entertaining ever at Westgate Lanes; those who were there will know what I’m talking about. 😀
