Apr. 6 Brunswick Mixed recap

My Week 31 bowling, frame-by-frame (Linked to BowlSK sheet)

I had a night tonight where I did a lot of things right, mainly put strikes together and not give away pins on single-pin misses. Most of my trouble came with more than one pin on the deck, but I still managed to convert a couple of splits. I probably wanted the start of the first game back, where I had back-to-back washouts on the same lane.

Result: 153-198-185=536
Average (93 games): 169
Average for last 9 games: 174
Next week’s AVG+1 score: 519

Composite average (174 games): 167

Team won three of four, with Donald going over average all three games and Barry getting a 517 series. The last game was winnable, where I could have put the screws to the other anchor if I threw the first strike in the 10th; I threw a good shot and I just got a bad break on the 10.

Sean Richard bowls 299 in NEBA non-champions at Apple Valley Bowl

Sean Richard related to me before Coke league last night that he had a 299 game in the first round of match play on Sunday in NEBA’s Bowl Winkles Pro Shop Non-Champions at Apple Valley Bowl in Plantsville, CT. I also found it worth noting that the soon-to-be Brockton Bowling Association Hall of Famer threw the game against another association Hall of Famer, Ryan Yelle. Good work, Seany! πŸ™‚

Apr. 4 Sunday Niters standings update

After winning four points from Adam & Steve, Pin Pals are in 6th place and will bowl against OSIMAS, who are tied for 4th with Bowling Stones, two points ahead of us. Ten Is Enough are the new leaders, with Where Is B? three points behind in 2nd and Suzy’s Crew four points behind in 3rd. Macs won the first half, so a roll-off is guaranteed, at a time to be decided after bowling Sunday night.

Apr. 3 Sunday Niters recap

My Week 29 bowling, frame-by-frame (Linked to BowlSK sheet)

I’d probably like to have the second game back tonight, but the other two were better, and really the first time in a while I’ve had two decent games out of the three (if you consider 190+ decent).

Result: 204-136-193=533
Average (81 games): 164
Average for last 9 games: 169
Next week’s AVG+1 score: 531

Composite average (171 games): 167

Lee couldn’t go again because of his knee. Team won the two games I did well in, but we got smoked in the other one for total. I’m hoping the four points keeps us in the top half of the standings.

Apr. 2 Brunswick Mixed standings update

After winning three points from Lost Empire 2, Seven Deadly Pins are in a tie for 10th with Spare Us, 10 points behind Creeden’s Mustangs, who are a point and a half ahead of 4 BAGA + 1 and four ahead of Sweet Rolls, Steak and Lettuce, and Lickety Splits, whom I’ve mentioned bowl against us Wednesday night.
