2016 Bowler of the Year finalists, runner-up Brian Gaskill & champion Steve Huntress
Steve Huntress became the Brockton Bowling Association’s second two-time Bowler of the Year champion after defeating top seed Brian Gaskill 290-193 in the final match. Steve ran through the stepladder by first defeating Matt Richard 235-217, then Keith Kaestner 231-188 in the semifinal. In the final match, Brian had carry problems on the right lane while Steve took it off the sheet after a spare in the first frame.
I started "The Tenth Board" to chronicle my experiences during the road back to league bowling after my heel fractures in 1999 (it took me 7 years before I started thinking seriously about it). I now use the blog as a combination of a personal bowling journal and a news site mostly about Westgate Lanes (Brockton, MA) and its bowlers.
