It’s been a long time since I’ve seen John Kunan put up a big number, but, along with “The Truth’s” 300 game last week in the Westgate Mixed league, Kunan added a 290. Nice bowling!

Adam “Itchy” Johndrow had another 300 in the Firefighters league last night, meaning he’s now gone 300, 299, and 300 in three consecutive weeks. Keep it up! 🙂

I was notified by Rob Young at the end of the night last night that Kevin Thibeault put up a 290 game, which I didn’t see much of. Good bowling, Kev! 🙂

I missed seeing it, but a league source told me Mike Mayo left a 5-7 after the first 11 last night in the Patriots league. Next time! 🙂

Sean Richard posted a video on Facebook that showed Brian Egan bowled 300 last night in Malden for the second time in as many weeks. Nice!

He had one back in January, and Roland “The Truth” Sandefur added a 300 last night in Westgate Mixed. WTG!

Elsewhere in my league, David Chin, a member of the leading Last Empire team, went 266-277-258 for an 801, which was his first 800 series. Congrats!

Adam Johndrow nearly followed up last week’s 300 with another one last night, but a 10 pin stopped him short. Next time!

It took 27 weeks, but Bill Briggs bowled the first 300 game of the Pepsi league season last night in the second game. Congrats!

I saw several reports on Facebook that Ed Miller, a member of my Wednesday league, bowled his first 300 game last night in the Sunday Niters league, which I have been a member of. Congrats! 🙂

There are three generations of the Brown family from around Kingston who bowl as a team in the Patriots league, and, the other night, Hal, the youngest of the three, bowled a 298 game. WTG!

Last night, in the second game, Bill Hill had the first 11, but was stopped by a 2-4-8 for a 297. Next time, Bill! 🙂

Congrats to Adam Johndrow for a 300 game Monday night in the unsanctioned Firefighters league. (For those who aren’t there on Monday, the Pepsi league has the high end, with Firefighters closer to the desk.) Adam told me he’s had seven 300s, but wasn’t sure how many were in the Firefighters league.

I didn’t know if he did it before, but, last night, in a follow-up on a Facebook post, Sean Richard told me he flagged a 7 pin to start a game, but then followed that up with the back 11 for a 279, the maximum score possible with an open frame.

We’re used to big scores from Sean Richard, but the Boston Rhythm & Bowling league provided a new setting for one last night, and it was a monster: 255-299-289 for an 847 set, now high in the house this season. Nice bowling!

One of the bowlers involved alerted me last night that his team, Team 17, with a lineup of Mark Zimmerman, Jon Hester, and Rob Young, shot a 2,257 team series last week in the Patriots league, which is over the USBC reporting threshold. Here are the line scores, for the record:

Zimmerman: 223-226-278=727
Hester: 278-242-248-768
Young: 258-290-214=762

I’ve written plenty about the Pepsi league’s Hy Bao and his successes in tournaments, but never for a score, and it was a notable one for him: His first 300 last night in Malden. Congrats! 🙂

The Strike F/X Patriots league team put up an impressive game in their first game last week, with Ralph Dahlgren’s 277 bookended by 290s by John Camara and Alex Aguiar for an 857 game, which would be a pin shy of high trios game in the nation at press time. They finished out with a 2,314 series, also a reportable series. The performance was big enough to make a 300 game by Danny Khuu an afterthought.

Shout-out to Chris Hanson, who, subbing for the Spicy Nutz Pepsi league team, put up a 290 game last night. I hope you’ll become a regular member of the league next season.

I wasn’t sure I could share the recap screen photo, but Donald Graves posted on Facebook that he had just his 2nd 300 game last night in the Rhythm & Bowling league. Congrats! 🙂

Sean Richard did it again last night in his Wednesday night league in Malden, going 235-300-267 for an 802. By count, that was Seany’s 5th 800 in the league this year, so I asked him about the Greater Boston association’s record average, and he told me he’s a pin ahead of Ken Corkum’s record of 245.

Congrats to Gary Weiner for a fine 299 game last night in the Westgate Mixed league. I was told he did it with a ball Sean Richard suggested for him. WTG! 🙂

Last night, in the TNBA league, Paris Cook equaled his personal high series, going 258-277-278 for an 813 series, which is the number I reported for his first 800 series. If you doubt me, feel free to search the blog. 🙂

Sean Richard posted a Facebook video of Jim Ferguson with another 300 game last night, the 20th of his career and third this month. This is the only one of the three in league play, as the others were in his NEBA win and the association tournament.
