Westgate Warriors roll over Mill City; Egan shoots 300, Gaskill 300/814

It was a different time of year and opponent, but the Westgate Warriors again successfully defended their home center with a 26-14 net victory over Mill City Mayhem Sunday. Standouts for the Warriors were Brian Egan (760 in Scratch), Jon Hester (718 in Handicap 1), Jake Tobin (700 in Handicap 2), and Sean Richard (736 in Handicap 2). Egan had a 300 in the second game, and here’s the last shot (courtesy of Zach Thompson):

Not to be outdone, Brian Gaskill, bowling in Mop Nation’s match, went 300-247-267 for an 814 set.

Good bowling to all! 🙂

Sean Richard bowls 100th 300 game in TNBA league

It was always going to be a matter of where and when, not if, Sean Richard would bowl his 100th perfect game, and he made those of us at Westgate glad that it came at not only his home house, but also on the most famous pair of lanes in the house, 47 & 48, or “Hakim’s pair”, last night in the TNBA league. There is a video account of the last shot, as well, provided by Grant Henderson III, and is below:

Congrats $eany! 🙂

Stan Lewis rolls 300/804, Danny Khuu, Joe Bourhill 300 in Monday doubles

It can definitely be said that the Monday Summer Doubles league is the summer season’s version of the Patriots league because of the quantity of high scores, and this summer’s league didn’t disappoint on its first night. I’ll start by noting Joe Bourhill’s 300 game, which was the first one in Massachusetts for this New York transplant. Joe’s wife Stephanie (Hamilton) got the video below:

The third game saw two more 300s, by Danny Khuu and Stan Lewis, with the latter having added that to games of 257 and 247 for an 804 set. Sean Richard got both of these videos, staring with Stan’s:

And now Danny’s:

Nice bowling, guys! 🙂

Bill Briggs shoots 2nd 300 of season in Pepsi league

Two 300 games by the same bowler in a Pepsi league season is a feat, and accomplished by Bill Briggs last night. The game followed up one in the last league week (with no bowling last week because of the Memorial Day holiday) by his Eklund Electric teammate, Tim Riordan, making it three of the seven this season bowled by that team.

I had my camera out for this one because I’d forgotten I got Bill’s other one, and he noticed that fact, telling me at the end of the night that that made him nervous. I’m posting it anyway, as he made a great shot to finish it.

Congrats again Bill! 🙂
