“$eany Ka$h” decided this year to bowl in Wonder Bowl’s Friday night Twilight league, and he had a 300 game last night in that league; nothing new, but WTG anyway, $eany! 🙂
(Note: This isn’t it, because there’s another post about $eany coming.)

This one flew under the radar, but Brockton Bowling Association Hall of Famer Bob Hamilton had a 290 game last week in the Westgate Mixed league. WTG! 🙂
Brockton Bowling Association Hall of Famer Rob Young posted another 300 game last night in the Patriots league, and I’ve been told Rob’s average in that league is now around 245. This bears watching, as there has never been a 240 average for a full season in the association, with Nate Abdow’s 238 in Taunton in 2009-10 being the association’s record. It’s also worth noting that a youth bowler, Stephen Major, also has a 240+ average at Westgate at last check.
Keep it going, Rob! 🙂
Paris Cook’s 300 last night wasn’t the only big game last night in the Rhythm & Bowling league, as Donald Graves also put up a 290 game. WTG! 🙂
As I was wrapping up my bowling tonight, Paris Cook was putting the finishing touches on the Rhythm & Bowling league’s first 300 game of the season. WTG Paris! 🙂
Sarah Gill recently bowled her first 300 game at Westgate Lanes in the travel league, and Kyle Egan joined her as youth bowlers with their first 300 game at Westgate this year, as he had one today in the Saturday Seniors. We did get video of Kyle’s last strike on Facebook, which is shared below:
Congrats Kyle, and I hope this is the first of many for you. 🙂
I’ve already mentioned Robert Crichlow for a 299 game in the senior league this season, and one of the younger members of that league, Jim Johnson, had a 299 game of his own yesterday. Nice going! 🙂
A couple of Brockton Bowling Association Hall of Famers can be mentioned for scores from last night in the Patriots league, as Rob Young had games of 248, 289, and 280 for an 817 series, and Steve Travers put up a 300 game. Good job, both of you. 🙂
Just a week after Gary Weiner bowled the high game of the Westgate Mixed season with a 298, his teammate, Sean Richard, finally got the 300 ice for the season broken in that league. Good work! 🙂
The Westgate Mixed league can be mentioned for the first time this season tonight, as Gary Weiner had a 298 in his first game. WTG! 🙂

Steve Huntress became the Brockton Bowling Association’s second two-time Bowler of the Year champion after defeating top seed Brian Gaskill 290-193 in the final match. Steve ran through the stepladder by first defeating Matt Richard 235-217, then Keith Kaestner 231-188 in the semifinal. In the final match, Brian had carry problems on the right lane while Steve took it off the sheet after a spare in the first frame.
Brockton Bowling Association Hall of Famer Dan Robinson is on a bit of a roll now (pun unintended), as he has back-to-back weeks with a 300 game in the Patriots league with one on Thursday night. WTG! 🙂
With seven entries in today’s no-tap tournament, Tim Major won with an 819 and Rich Fulton was 2nd with an 809. The filing of this article under “Honor Scores” is because Tim bowled a natural 300 game in the first game today. WTG Timmy! 🙂
They’re going to do a few different things for the next no-tap tournament, and there could be information before it on the Westgate Facebook page, so keep checking there.
Congrats to Sarah Gill, formerly in the North Bowl junior program and now representing Wonder Bowl, who picked the junior travel league at Westgate yesterday to bowl her first 300 game. She became the 7th female to bowl a perfect game at Westgate Lanes, and the youngest female ever to do so. 🙂
The local bowlers have come out to support the Boston Bowling Senate’s annual singles tournament, with “$eany Ka$h” putting up a 297 game in one of the later squads today (I poked my head in, but had to leave). I hope to be able to post results from the tournament later.
Brockton Bowling Association Hall of Famer Jim Ferguson told me that, last night, while subbing on Alex Aguiar’s team in the Twilight League at Wonder Bowl in New Bedford, he had a 299 game that looked like he’d get all of the breaks, squashing the rack on high hits on the 10th and 11th shots before throwing a good 12th shot, but leaving a 10 pin. WTG still, Jimmy! 🙂
I’ve mentioned him for scores a couple of times before, and I get to mention Brockton Bowling Association Hall of Famer Dan Robinson today for a 300 game the other night in the Patriots league. Good work, Danny! 🙂
Congrats to Don Minchello, who’s been serving as the Patriots league’s treasurer since I can remember, for a 299 game last week. 🙂
I haven’t mentioned Shawn Coles, my Wednesday night league’s secretary, for scores really, but he had one the hard way tonight in the first game, chopping the 10 off of the 6-10, then getting the back 11 for a 279. WTG buddy! 🙂
Right now at Westgate, there may be no one throwing the ball better than Stephen Major, who has added a 299 game today to his first-week 300 and just missed his first 800 series with a 796. Stephen is currently averaging a great 242.
Nice going, Steve! 🙂
In what is possibly my first time mentioning a score from the senior league, Robert Crichlow, who won a state senior title at Westgate Lanes two years ago, bowled a nice 299 game in that league the other day. Nice going! 🙂
Update: I ran my archive search, and found that I had mentioned a 299 in the league by Dick Porter in March of 2010.
Short & sweet: Kris Higgins threw the back 11 last week in the TNBA league…WTG! 🙂
When “$eany Ka$h” bowls 300, he often combines it with two other nice games, and tonight was one of those cases, as he had games of 260, 300, and 259 for an 819 series in the Patriots league, which should be the first 800 series at Westgate this season. And neither was Seany alone tonight, as Chuck Paige II threw a 300 game of his own.
Congrats to both! 🙂
I was assigned lanes close to the desk the other night, and that always risks me missing a score out of Wednesday night, even in my own league, and that was the case, as Ed Godino III shot 300. By archive search on this blog, it was the 4th 300 game bowled in the league since I joined it. WTG Eddie! 🙂
Scoring in the Patriots league seems to be up early in the season, as the league has had at least one high score each week so far. Last Thursday was no different, as Danny Khuu had a 300 game, while Rob Young, who told me his last ball in the game produced the 7-10 split, added a 298. Good bowling guys! 🙂
I didn’t know he did it until Ray put the scoresheet up on the pro shop window, but Mike Peirce had his first 300 game yesterday during the NAT doubles event. Sean Richard’s Facebook video of the last strike is below.
Congrats Mike! 🙂
The Patriots league is such a big league now that I’m bound to miss some scores from my reports on Thursday nights, and last week was no exception, as Donald Graves also had a 298 game last week. WTG Don! 🙂
Sean Richard relayed to me that the Patriots league had its first 300 game of the the season tonight, bowled by “TomTom” Hedding, as well as a 297 by Bill Briggs. Good work, guys!
Note: I think everyone knows that the Patriots league is now the biggest at Westgate in terms of number of teams, so any post I make about the league that night may turn out to be only a partial list when I see the standing sheet following.
I already mentioned Steve Ferguson’s 299 game from last week in the Patriots league, but, also on that night, Brockton Bowling Association Hall of Famer Rob Young had a 290 game, as did Chris Silveri, who was bowling in a winter league for the first time as an adult bowler. WTG guys! 🙂
I’ve known Mike Carter for quite a while as one of North Bowl’s best bowlers, and this year he decided to try out the Coke league. He made quite a splash in his league debut last night, as he had a 300 game right out of the gate. I got the video of the last strike, which I posted on the association page and which is shared below:
Congrats Mike! 🙂
