Congrats to Dave Townson, who came one pin shy of a perfect game Thursday night in the mixed doubles league. I’m extra proud of Dave because he happens to have been my first league secretary. Dave shot 717 for the series. Congrats again, Dave! 😀

Congrats to David Chin, who just missed a perfect game last Friday night in the TNBA league with an 11 in a row 298, which helped him to a 682 series.

Congrats to Mike Major, who threw the Coke Classic League’s fourth 300 game of the season last night. 😀

Congrats to Gerry LaTremouille, who had a 288 high game in an 845 series, the first 800 series of the season at Westgate Lanes, bowled in the Westgate Mixed League. 😀

Pardon me for not noticing this sooner: on the same night Rai Doblmeier posted 299 and 300 back-to-back, Ralph Dahlgren also shot a 300 game in the Tuesday Scratch Sportsmen league. Congrats to Ralph, as well! 😀

Congrats to Ryan Evans, who, last night, recorded the third perfect game of the Coke Classic League season. 😀

Congrats again to Rai Doblmeier, who ended his session last week in the Tuesday scratch singles league by shooting 299 and 300 back-to-back on the “Broadway” pattern. It’s a shame it couldn’t have counted for an 800 series, as USBC rules state that only the first three games of a four-game series count for series awards.

I knew Gerry LaTremouille in my former bowling life, so I was pleased when I found out he posted a 300 game bowling on lanes 59 and 60 tonight in the Westgate Mixed league. Congrats Gerry! 😀

Devon McGregor posted the second 300 game of the Coke Classic League season last night on the way to a 741 series. Congrats Devon! 😀

In what seems like an annual tradition, Alex Aguiar tossed a perfect 300 game on the Broadway pattern Tuesday night in the Tuesday Scratch Sportsmen league. Thanks to Bob Hamilton for first bringing this to my attention, but I did want to confirm it either from a league source or in the league’s standings.

Congrats to Paul Luizzi of the Westgate Mixed league, who followed a first-frame spare with the last 11 for a 290 tonight! 😀

Congrats again to Ed Alfieri, who posted his second 300 game in as many seasons Wednesday night in the Westgate Mixed league (you may recall he had one last season in the league’s roll-off). The perfect game was part of a 768 series.

Congrats to Kevin Durette, with a nice 296 game last week in the Brockton Ten Pin league. 😀

Congratulations to Brian White, who had the 6th 300 game of the year overall at Westgate Lanes and the second in as many weeks in the Westgate Mixed league tonight! 😀

A couple of messages from the Thursday night Patriots league greeted me when I came in to practice today:

• This past Thursday, Mike Trent threw an 11-in-a-row 290 game, which I can only assume happened with a spare in the first frame and “running the table” the rest of the way. Congrats Mike! 😀
• Also this past Thursday, David Rosenberg made good on a conversion of the 7-9 split (which is a lefty’s 8-10, though it’s possible for a right-hander to leave a 7-9, as well), which is believed to be the first 7-9 ever converted at Westgate Lanes. It is estimated that the odds of converting a 7-9 or an 8-10 are approximately 100,000:1, so congratulations to David, as well! 😀

Congrats to Kevin Sheehy, who threw the first perfect game of the year in the Coke Classic League (and the third overall this year) last night. A source in the league told me that the 300 game was Kevin’s first in more than 40 years of bowling, so this had to be special. Congrats again, Kevin! 😀

Congrats to Richard Mines, who had the third 300 game of the young season at Westgate Lanes this past Friday night in the TNBA League, which helped him to a 678 set. 😀

Congrats to John Mayo of the Thursday Night Patriots league for stringing 11 in a row before ending up with a 297 game last week. Get ’em next time! 😀

I got my first look at the standings for the Tuesday Scratch Sportmen league today, and I noted that Trey Coy posted a 300 game in the early going. I’ll comment when I find out what lane condition the league is starting on. Still, congrats Trey! 😀

Congrats to Mike Monteiga, who posted the first 300 game at Westgate Lanes this season Tuesday night in the Brockton Ten Pin league. The honor score helped him to a 733 series. 😀

With only two other leagues running at Westgate Lanes this summer, I’ve been able to keep a closer eye on the standings in those leagues, and, as a result, I have an honor score to report: a 300 game shot by Tom Hedding Thursday night in the Adult/Junior league. Tom has recently graduated from the youth ranks, and I believe this is his first honor score as an adult bowler. Nice shooting Tom! 😀

The Westgate Mixed League held their roll-off for the league championship last night, which was highlighted by a second game in which Ed Alfieri, the house’s resident two-hander, posted what I was told was his first 300 game. He may be inconsolable, however, because his team lost the match despite the honor score. Congrats again anyway, Ed! 😀
