The Northeast Amateur Tournament posted on their Facebook page (must be logged into Facebook to view) that “Mr. 900” Hakim Emmanuel paired with Angel Hernandez to take the doubles event held Sunday at Westgate Lanes, defeating Bob DiMuccio Sr. & Jr., 562-491 (with handicap), in the final match. Other Westgate bowlers in the elimination finals were Chuck Paige & Matt Richard, Ralph Dahlgren & Bill Briggs, Dan Robinson & Mike Peirce, Tom Hedding (with Jayme Silva), Ed Grossett & Mike “Sensae” Reed, and Jim Ferguson & Sean Richard. There were 43 entries.
I started "The Tenth Board" to chronicle my experiences during the road back to league bowling after my heel fractures in 1999 (it took me 7 years before I started thinking seriously about it). I now use the blog as a combination of a personal bowling journal and a news site mostly about Westgate Lanes (Brockton, MA) and its bowlers.
